The latest global cold storage capacity report, prepared by the Global Cold Chain Alliance, shows 719 million cubic metres of cold storage capacity in 51 countries. This is an increase of more than 16% over the 2018 survey, but some of this growth is due to new countries reporting in, and improvements in data collection.

Mexico, Brazil and China have the largest unmet need for refrigerated warehouse space. North America and China accounted for most of the increase in reported capacity since 2018.
